Over the past few years, Republic of Moldova was condemned 173 times by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), DECA-press Agency informs.
According to the Supreme Court, Republic of Moldova paid nearly 18,7 million euros due to the ECHR decisions.
According to the Supreme Court, of the total number of 173 dossiers, the Moldovan law structures committed mistakes in 103 cases. The amount paid by the country covered over 4,3 million euros.
On the other hand, observers assert the number of dossiers lost by Moldova at ECHR because of the mistakes of the Moldovan law system is higher.
In 2009, ECHR condemned Moldova in 30 dossiers.
