On Sunday, the Centre „Pro-Europa” from Balti organized public actions on the occasion of the Day of Europe celebrated in this locality, DECA-press informs.
This year, the Day of Europe was celebrated in the Republic of Moldova on 10 May.
Volunteers of the centre, wearing caps and T-shirts with European Union signs on them, distributed promotional and informing materials on European issue. Passers-by were given pens, T-shirts, balloons and informing leaflets.
This was a successful ad-hoc campaign, Vlad Ghitu, director of „Pro Europa” Centre, said. We didn’t expect that balloons will be preferred so much by passers-by.
Promotional and informing materials were put at the disposal of „Pro Europa” Centre by Eurasia Foundation (Moldova).
It is for the third year when the Centre „Pro Europa” from Balti organizes the celebration of Day of Europe.
The Centre „Pro Europa” from Balti opened at the end of the year 2007.
