„Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi (Romania) may open a branch in Ungheni town of the Republic of Moldova, DECA-press Agency informs.
The idea to open a branch of Iasi University in Ungheni was issued by Constantin Simirad, president of Iasi District Council.
„The idea is very good, although I have it for a long time”, Alexandru Ambros, mayor of Ungheni town, states.
Ambros assured the authorities would carefully examine all the proposals and will try to find the optimal variant for a building where this institution could work.
„It is logical to open a branch of Iasi University in Ungheni, that is situated at only 15-kilometers distance of Iasi”, the mayor also said, cited by „Expresul de Ungheni”.
We remind you, during 2000-2001, there was one more attempt to open a branch of Bucharest University in Ungheni, but they gave up as there were few people willing to attend it. |
